Throughout this past weekend I was having contractions but nothing strong enough for me to go into the hospital. Monday morning came around and they really starting kicking in! I headed into the hospital to get checked and make sure everything was ok. By the time I got there I was really starting to get uncomfortable so I knew I made the right choice! They had me change into a hospital gown and hooked me up to monitors. Trying to keep myself calm, I only called Justin to let him know what was going on. He was in class and didn't get my messages but at least I let him know. Contractions were coming every 2-3 minutes and were getting stronger. They gave me some medication to make them stop which took about an hour to fully take effect. The meds they gave made me feel a little light headed and loopy but since it is a heart medication that is to be expected. Once I felt better they gave me a prescription and released me. It was a very nerve racking 3 hours!!!! I kept talking to her telling her to wait a few more weeks. All I wanted was to have Justin there next to me telling me everything was going to be ok but he didn't get my messages until I was already released (not that he could have left and come home anyways).
Having not been in that part of the hospital I took notice of everything. One thing was just how nice the nurses and doctor were! They were very calm and reassuring and made me feel that it was ok I had come in. I don't want to be that woman that comes in every time I feel a little contraction! Another thing was how ugly the hospital gown was! Yikes! There are gowns that you can buy to wear when you deliver but I think I will just suck it up! The whole labor and deliver ward is very secure! You have to use a red phone to call in to get them to unlock the doors and then when you walk in there are two security guards sitting there. They are all there to make sure you and your baby is safe. It is the only floor that has that much security.
Overall my experience at the hospital was a pleasant one (except for the going into labor early part). It made me feel much better to know where I need to go and that there will be a friendly face waiting to help. Baby girl and I have had a talk letting her know she needs to wait until Daddy can get home!
On that note Justin has 2 1/2 weeks till graduation and 3 weeks till he can come home! June 10 cannot come fast enough! I just wish he could come home after graduation but he has to head back to Florida to outprocess. We love him and we are ready for him to be home!

I'm so sorry you went through that!!! I have the same exact thing, and I was on the same medication. I started early labor at 24 weeks and was on the medication until 37 weeks. If you need ANYTHING please let me know!!! I'm so excited for Justin to get home!
